Daily Rant & Rave: Is Seattle friendly, or unfriendly?

RAVE

To the Seattle Public Utilities yard waste collection guy: I know it’s not in your job description to wave to my toddler so enthusiastically, but week after week, you share your great big smile and wave with enthusiasm. Thank you for making our Thursday mornings something to look forward to!

RANT

To all retail workers who don’t acknowledge/take care of their customers and to the managers who choose to keep them. Sure it’s a tough job but you won’t have a job if customers stop coming because of poor service, right? Say, “hello!” or just smile; it’s not that hard. We’ve lived here for 10 years and can’t get used to the unfriendliness in this town.
