Daily Rant & Rave: Driver, get that dog off your lap (and keep it out of my cart, too)

RAVE To the Capitol Hill couple who rescued our camping weekend at Mount Rainier by letting us park our vehicle at their site when the campground was full. We so appreciate their kindness.

RANT To dog owners who let dogs sit on their laps while driving and in store shopping carts. The dog riding in your lap while you’re driving is a distraction that endangers your ability to drive, endangering the rest of us. The dog in the shopping cart (let alone non-service dogs in stores) —are you kidding? My food goes in the cart, not your dog! Have some common sense.
