Daily Rant & Rave: Kids need to learn respect

RAVE To the 2014 Seafair Weekend Official Program, which  finally included a scoring sheet for the hydroplane races at Lake Washington after years of not including one. Fans of the races enjoy keeping track of the hydro statistics and knowing the position and other information about the boats and their drivers.

RANT To the 10- and 11-year-old girls making fun of an obese lady outside our community center. This lady is a devoted volunteer who donates countless hours to youth activities in the area. She is a kind, friendly, a gentle leader and, dress size aside, has the beautiful looks of a fashion model. Rant to me for not saying something to the girls or their high-income parents who had dropped them off without supervision when the center was closed.
