Daily Rant&Rave: hoggish parallel-parkers

RAVE To the lovely couple who approached our family’s table when we were out for dinner with my mother, who was wearing a glittery cardboard crown to add to the excitement of her 83rd birthday, asking if they could serenade Mom with a birthday song, and we said yes.   They had excellent voices and the song was incredibly cute! They were wonderful and made our evening so special.

RANT To self-centered drivers who park in the middle of a spot on the street, occupying what clearly could be two reasonable spaces. I understand not wanting to be boxed in, but when you leave more than a half of spot in front of you and behind you, you’re being selfish.
