Daily Rant&Rave: Red-light runner, you nearly killed a cyclist

RAVE To the gallant man who found my wallet with cash and credit cards at Safeway, drove to my house to give it to me and told me I don’t look nearly as old as the age on my license!

RANT To the driver on Dexter Avenue who clearly ran a red light at full speed and came within inches of hitting a cyclist who was in the intersection making a left turn. I hope that whatever you were rushing off to was so important that it was worth breaking the law and risking a young woman’s life. You should be grateful no tragedy occurred and that you were too quick for me to get your license-plate number. And to the cyclist, I hope you aren’t too shaken up by what occurred and take solace in knowing that this driver is looking out for you and wishing you well.
