Daily Rant&Rave: Free dinner surprise

RAVE To the couple who paid our dinner check on a visit to Birch Bay. They walked by our table, smiled and greeted us; we replied. When we requested our check, the waitress brought us a receipt with the message “We paid for your dinner — no joke! God bless you both. Enjoy!”   We were shocked. The waitress said this couple often does this. We left the waitress a generous tip and will definitely pay this forward.

RANT I’ve been yelled at and honked at in the Fred Meyer parking lot for stopping to let someone in, and also for NOT stopping to let someone in. People, make up your minds! Be nice! Sorry if I slowed you down a little bit (either way). Sheesh.
