Daily Rant&Rave: Pleasant, efficient Social Security

RAVE To Judy at the Social Security office, who was pleasant, informative, focused and efficient on our appointment to file for benefits for us and our adult disabled child. Our multiple applications were complex and she was under time pressure for later appointments, but she made the experience a pleasure. Such a joy to see such efficiency, competence, professional and personal skills in a stressful government office environment.

RANT To the Seattle Department of Transportation and the Coast Guard for opening the Ballard Bridge starting at 6 p.m. News flash: Rush hour in Seattle doesn’t end at 6 p.m.; it’s a huge vehicle backup if the bridge opens then for a couple of pleasure craft. Bridge openings shouldn’t start until at least 6:30 p.m.
