Daily Rant&Rave: Helpful Arboretum drivers

RAVE My car got stuck while I was waiting for traffic through the Arboretum. As I was directing traffic both directions after calling for a tow, at least eight people stopped to ask if they could help me with my dilemma. One more reason why I love living in Seattle.
RANT To Sound Transit or whoever’s responsible for the planning the new Tukwila Sounder Station. It’s not quite done and already the parking lot’s been filled to capacity more than once. There are seven Orca card readers on the Amtrak side (Amtrak doesn’t take Orca cards) and three card readers where commuters board and unboard, which means riders stand in long lines to scan their cards. As a daily commuter at this location for the last five years, I’m disappointed in the poor planning that went into this new station. I wish someone would ask the people that actually use the facility what they’d like to see in the new one. They might be surprised at what we know!
