Daily Rant&Rave: Hooray for free Seattle Symphony concert

RAVE To Seattle Symphony, Kiwanis Club, donors and foundations for providing a delightful, free community concert at Chief Sealth High School last Friday. The music was amazing: Mozart and Schubert pieces, familiar and lovely. Families of several generations, neighbors and community groups all enjoyed and appreciated it, and young children were introduced to live, classical music in a relaxed atmosphere. What a treat!
RANTTo CenturyLink Field for not accepting this 49-year old’s punched, expired driver’s license and temporary new license as valid ID for buying a beer. Their suggestion to have a friend or the next person in line buy it for me seems to contradict the spirit of their policy. Rave to the two Sounders fans in line behind me who bought my beer and wouldn’t take any money. Cheers to them!
