Daily Rant&Rave: Hockey gear lost and found

RAVE Through a series of missteps my son’s hockey bag was left on the ground when the team switched buses. Imagine our despair when we found his hockey gear wasn’t in the baggage compartment at our destination, but the story has a happy ending. The team manager called the Everett police department to see if someone turned the bag in and found that a kind citizen saw the bag, called police and waited at the park-and-ride for the officer to arrive to ensure the gear was safe. Our thanks to the wonderful person who rescued the bag, the police department and the quick-thinking team manager who all saved the day.
RANT To runners and walkers of Green Lake on the path after the sun sets dressed in dark colors and no personal lighting or reflective gear, other walkers/runners can’t see you! Be safe, dress to be seen.
