RAVE To the strangers who came to my aid when my car died at a downtown intersection. I tried to push the car off the road and was having a hard time when I was quickly joined by four guys who helped me push the car to a safe place. I thanked them all then, thanks again! Seattle … city of angels.
RANT I’ve been riding the bus to medical appointments downtown and to First Hill for 3 plus years, standing-room only at most any hour. In all that time I’ve never seen an able-bodied young person give up his seat or willingly move a bag for the elderly, pregnant women or anyone left standing. They put their bags on the seat beside them to stop anyone from it, then get into their electronics. Recently this elderly woman pointedly indicated she needed to be seated and grudgingly the seat was given. What has happened to manners?
