Daily Rant&Rave: Lost pants mystery

RAVE To the woman who found my 16-year-old son’s jeans on the sidewalk with his wallet and keys in the pocket. She tracked me down to call to confirm ownership and called the police, who graciously delivered them to us. Neither even asked how a boy loses his pants on Halloween — they both had raised teenagers!
RANT To the hit-and-run driver who destroyed our custom-made midcentury modern mailbox and two shrubs on Halloween. It’s the second time in a year this has happened to our mailbox but we’re far more concerned about public safety. I hope the driver uses this incident as a wake-up call for personal responsibility for this destruction (feel free to leave us your contact information so you can reimburse us) and to drive more safely.
