Daily Rant&Rave: Highway 99 construction traffic mess

RAVE To the incredibly thoughtful construction worker near South Lake Union who thought I looked cold (I was!) and gave me the hand warmer he was using. The world could use more people like him!
RANT To whoever is responsible for making the decision to close one lane in each direction of Highway 99 near Queen Anne for construction work, resulting in backups for miles as people try to commute south into downtown. What a ridiculous pain! I understand the need to do work, but can’t it be scheduled on weekends so it doesn’t cause terrible bottlenecks for people using that route to get to work every day?
