Daily Rant&Rave: Bear cub in Issaquah traffic

RAVE AND RANT

Rave to the motorists who stopped to render assistance after my wife’s vehicle struck a bear cub that darted onto I-90 in Issaquah on Tuesday evening at rush hour. They put out flares to warn approaching vehicles and attempted to assist the injured animal. Special thanks to the caring state trooper who, with the help of others, managed to get the 80-pound cub into his patrol car to take it to PAWS in Lynnwood for treatment. R.I.P. to the injured cub, which unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. Thankfully, my wife was uninjured. Rant to the other drivers who didn’t even slow down and blew by the scene honking their horns.
