Daily Rant&Rave: Thanks, WSDOT, that feels much better

RAVE To the engineers of WSDOT who recently installed plates across the expansion joints on the Interstate 90 East Channel Bridge bike path. While we’ve been grateful to have a bike path to Mercer Island, for almost 30 years bicyclists have had to cross two expansion joints that were really jarring and just darn uncomfortable. The improvements really smooth them out. Thanks for the consideration of our comfort. Aaaahhhh, that feels much better.
RANT To the rude women who talked all through Pacific Northwest Ballet’s beautiful performance of the “Nutcracker” last week. Tchaikovsky’s music is more interesting than your chattering. Kudos to all the children in the audience who were better behaved than these two adults!
