Daily Rant&Rave: Hey distracted drivers, pay attention

RAVE To the customer in front of us at the Starbucks drive-thru who paid for the lattes my husband was picking up for me and my mother’s caregiver on the morning my mother died. What a treat to bring a smile to us!
RANT To all of you behind the wheel doing everything else but paying attention to your driving. The most recent (and third) distracted driver to run into my beloved Toyota Tacoma managed to total it. First time, it was someone adjusting her radio who ran a red light and T-boned my truck; second time, it was a woman dealing with a car full of kids who ran into my bumper while I was stopped in traffic; this time, it was a man whose loose dog blocked his vision, causing him to rear-end my stopped truck at near fullhighway speed. Just drive, don’t do anything else, OK?
