Daily Rant&Rave: Rant to the bicylist who almost ran me down

RAVE To Trish, our senior community bus driver, for her kindness, helpfulness and great sense of humor. Whether it’s to the supermarket, doctor appointment or a special outing, she goes above and beyond to make the ride special for those of us who no long have autos, always with a smile and one of her wonderful CDs playing. It’s a privilege to know such an amazing and caring human being.
RANT To the bicycle rider who nearly ran me down in the dark while I was walking on Greenwood Avenue. He was headed south at a high rate of speed when he crossed to the northbound lanes, jumping the curb and onto the sidewalk, giving no warning, riding without lights and not wearing a helmet. I had to jump out of the way while he just kept going.
