Daily Rant&Rave: Traffic circle rules revisited

RAVE To the kind gentleman who rescued a couple of 90-plus-year-old women who’d waited 45 minutes for a cab that never showed up at the restaurant.
RANT To wrong information about traffic-circle driving rules. The vehicle on the right, not the vehicle on the left, has the right of way. RCW 46.61.180 states “When two vehicles approach or enter an intersection from different highways at approximately the same time, the driver of the vehicle on the left shall yield the right of way to the vehicle on the right.” Seattle’s Department of Transportation website says “Under state law, when two vehicles approach an intersection with no stop signs at about the same time, the driver on the left shall always yield to the driver on the right. This is also true for intersections that have a traffic circle or all-way stops.”
