If you’re like me you’re counting down the hours (only about 38 hours left!) until it is time to head to your favorite lake for the opening day of trout fishing.
Make sure to bring a camera and record what could be a lifetime of memories for a young kid or a first-timer hoisting a stringer full of fish like this proud kid in the picture at Rattlesnake Lake.
I’d love to hear how things go on opening day so send me your fishing reports and any pictures you have of your day on the water.
I’ll have a rundown on how anglers fared at various lakes around the state in Sunday’s Seattle Times sports section, and then a follow-up with more lake reports here Sunday and Monday on my fishing blog.
