Your input is wanted for 2010-11 fishing proposals

Don’t like something going on with your favorite sport fishery? Or would you like to see some improvements on the marine salmon season setting process?

Here’s your chance to offer state Fish and Wildlife feedback through June 1.

Proposals will be evaluated by fishery managers as they develop possible changes to the 2010-11 sport fishing rules. The proposed changes will be available for public review and comment in early September.

The Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission will be be briefed on the rule proposals at its Oct. 2-3 public meeting in Olympia. The final opportunity for written and oral public comment on the proposed sport fishing rules will be made during the commission’s Nov. 6-7 public meeting in Olympia.

The commission will make final decisions for the 2010-11 sport fishing rule changes during a public meeting in February of 2010.

You can get Information and forms needed to submit proposals by clicking on the sportfishing rule change process. A rule-change packet also can be requested by calling 360-902-2700.
