Rivers of a Lost Coast is a must see fishing movie

From everything I heard the documentary movie “Rivers of a Lost Coast,” is receiving a lot praise among anglers who have seen it.

The Wild Steelhead Coalition is hosting a fundraiser and presenting the documentary film 6 p.m. May 9 at the University of Washington’ s Kane Hall.

At the turn of the 20th Century, a handful of early fly anglers journeyed into northern California’s remote North Coastal rivers like the Eel, Smith, Russian, and other smaller streams in search of salmon and steelhead. By the 1980s most of these great runs of fish had all but vanished.

Film producers Justin Coupe and Palmer Taylor are guests at the Seattle presentation along with narrator/actor Tom Skerritt from the movie “A River Runs Through It.”

Tickets to the reception will be available until tomorrow night (May 4). The movie tickets will be available until Friday, May 8.

For details, go to the Wild Steelhead Coalition Web site.
