Possible world record largemouth bass caught in Japan

The Field & Stream Magazine Web site has posted a story about a possible world record largemouth bass caught in Japan.

The magazine got the information on the Internet from a California-based fishing Web site. This bass, caught by angler Manabu Kurita, has already been certified as weighing 22 pounds, 5 ounces, and was 29.4 inches long, and beat the current record of 22 pounds, 4 ounces.

The fish was supposedly taken from Lake Biwa in Japan, and I’ve actually been to this lake near my relatives house in Hikone, Japan, where hundreds of bass boats can be seen fishing or lining the shoreline everyday.
