The local salmon fishing scene in Seattle is airing on the World Fishing Network, the only 24/7 TV fishing channel, as Hookin’ Up with Mariko Izumi’s show airs Monday, April 12 at 4:30 p.m. PT, and 12:30 a.m. PT.

WFN host Izumi spent three days last summer in Seattle filming an episode of her reality show.

Izumi dubbed the world’s sexiest angler is challenged to complete three tasks in Seattle that included mooching for salmon with Keith Robbins, owner of A Spot Tail Salmon Guide in Seattle, throw and catch a salmon at Pike Place Market and create a fishing related song at American Music.

Mariko, who lives in Toronto, is the daughter of pro angler Wayne Izumi and niece of Bob Izumi, who has a show on WFN and is a noted pro angler on the Wal-Mart FLW Bass Tournament Series. Both Wayne and Bob are devoted anglers, and won Angling Team of the Year in 2004.

Mariko’s show debuted last season. Other visits for Izumi in this season’s episodes included San Francisco, Portland, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Florida, Nashville, Bermuda and Michigan.

The show can be seen on DISH Network, Verizon FiOS, AT&T U-verse and Charter Communications Northwest.
