Razor clam digs approved starting this Friday on some coastal beaches

State Fish and Wildlife have approved this week’s razor clam digs during morning tides.

Digs are open this Friday (April 16) at Long Beach and Twin Harbors; and Saturday and Sunday (April 17-18) at Long Beach, Twin Harbors and Kalaloch.

Low tides: April 16, minus-0.7 feet at 8:32 a.m.; April 17, -0.7 at 9:12 a.m.; and April 18, -0.6 at 9:56 a.m. Digging will end after noon on all beaches.

Diggers daily limit is the first 15 razor clams dug regardless of size or condition. Each digger’s limit must be kept in a separate container.

Other tentative digs are:

April 27-29 at Long Beach and Twin Harbors; April 30 at Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Copalis and Mocrocks; and May 1-2 at Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Copalis, Mocrocks and Kalaloch.
