The Elliott Bay Salmon Derby was held this past Saturday, and the while it was the perfect setting with the Olympic Mountains and Seattle skyline surrounding anglers the fishing was on the slow side.
“(The) bay was really slow,” said Dwight Jones, general manager of the Elliott Bay Marina. “I think only one fish weighed in from the bay. 22 fish weighed in, and almost all were caught at Possession and some at Jeff Head.”
