Lake trout biting in Lake Chelan

Here is the latest fishing reports from Anton Jones with Darrell & Dad’s Family Guide Service in Manson.

What’s hot is trolling on Lake Chelan for numbers of eating size lakers along the face of Manson Bay. Also continuing hot is bait fishing the net pens on Rufus Woods for Triploid Rainbows.

Fish Lake Chelan along the face of Manson Bay with Worden’s Lures F7 flatfish in Luminous Chartreuse and Purple Glow. Look for depths between 175 and 200 feet to be productive here.

Additionally, fish in the Trench using Silver Horde’s Kingfisher Lite spoons in chartreuse splatterback glow or Silver Horde’s Ace Hi Flies baited with a piece of Northern Pikeminnow. Stick an action disk by Wigglefin.com in front of that Ace Hi Fly to give it a tantalizing action.

Above the Yacht Club try Worden Lure’s T4 purple glow Flatfish off the downriggers and Rushin’ Salmon Wobblers off the outrigger rods for some bigger fish.

Another great choice in any of those locations would Mack’s Lure’s Cha Cha Squidder in glow colors. Work those deepwater benches all the way out to the four hundred foot contour.

Rufus Woods produced nicely bait fishing near the net pens. Try rainbow colored Fire Bait by Pautzke. Remember, the bottoms of those net pens are fifty-five feet deep. You need to fish your bait deeper than that to get in the zone where the fish are.
