Walleye and bass are great fishing alternative in southwest Washington
Many prefer to target bass and walleye on the Columbia River and nearby lakes, which has been very good.
In Lacamas Lake an angler brought in a 7-plus pound largemouth bass from Lacamas to the state Fish and Wildlife Region 5 office last week.
In The Dalles Pool boat anglers averaged nearly four walleye kept/released per rod. Bank anglers were also catching some bass.
In the John Day Pool three boats with six anglersfishing for walleye had three walleye and three bass.
