Congratulations to our Reel Time Pacific Northwest fishing and outdoor trivia contest winner Harvey Doty of Shoreline who said the answer was “Riffe Lake.”
Doty who is 28 really got back into fishing the last couple of years.
“Fishing has been in the family for a while. One of my great grandpa’s favorite spots was Beckler River (now closed),” Doty said. “Sunday I found a picture of a younger me with my dad and grandpa out at Westport. My dad and grandpa were holding up some nice salmon. Dad won the derby that day,” said Doty, who likes to fish for trout and bass on Lake Union and Lake Washington.
Doty and his wife are looking forward to crabbing and salmon fishing on Puget Sound in their little boat. He also enjoys fishing in alpine lakes and the local rivers for steelhead.
About 55 percent of our readers got the right answer. Look out for the next trivia question when I post it on Monday morning.
Doty wins a book titled The Freshwater Angler Fishing Tips and Tricks by C. Boyd Pfeiffer and a 150 yard spool of 8-pound Berkley NanoFil fishing line. Winners are announced every Friday.
This will be an ongoing weekly trivia contest through the summer where the winner who answers the question first will receive an outdoor prize that will range from books, Berkley bait, lures and other nifty items from the outdoors gunnysack.
