World class snowboarders expected for top event at Whistler Resort on July 1

Snowboarders from across the world are expected to turnout for the Billabong Ante Up, presented by Von Zipper on July 1 at Whistler Mountain Resort in British Columbia.

Billabong Ante Up is a 5 Star TTR World Snowboard Tour event, and the marquee kick-off event for the 2011-2012 season.

The event is also a qualifying event for the 6 Star Billabong Innsbruck Air and Style event in February 2012.

Boarders from Asia, Europe, Scandinavia, USA, and Canada all scheduled to compete.

Snowboarders from the United States expected to be on hand for the event are Scotty Lago and Chas Guldemond.

Other top performers are Gjermund Braaten of Germany, Seppe Smits of Belgium, Roope Tonteri of Finland and many others.
