Kids can learn to sail this summer

The Green Lake Small Craft Center’s youth sailing camp still has some openings.

Kids will have a great time learning sailing skills in our summer camps, using boats provided by the Small Craft Center. Both new and experienced sailors can register.

Sailors will learn the basics of sailing, rigging, safety, and boat handling. Participants must be at least 10 years old, and weigh at least 80 pounds. Seattle Parks and Recreation provides the life jackets.

Camps run weekly Monday through Friday from Noon to 4 p.m. until August 12. The price of Green Lake Sailing Camps is only $175 for 20 hours of instruction.

For more information, and to register your child contact the Green Lake Small Craft Center at 206-684-4074.
