Congratulations to our Reel Time Pacific Northwest fishing and outdoor trivia contest winner Paul Egashira of Edmonds who said the answer was “Point No Point.”
A native of Seattle, Egashira has been fishing since he was a kid – mostly for trout. He started fishing for salmon when he became a teenager and had a 15hp outboard. He’d take that outboard and rent boats out of Tacoma, Pt. No Point (in those red boats Vic Nelson used to rent).
Egashira moved to Edmonds (were he now resides) and then rented boats at Norma Beach to fish Possession Bar until he bought his first boat – a 17-foot Whaler Montauk.
“I still fish as often as work and life will let me,” he said.
About 50 percent of our readers got the right answer.
Egashira wins some Berkley Power Bait Products and a spool of fishing line.
This will be an ongoing weekly trivia contest through the summer where the winner who answers the question first will receive an outdoor prize that will range from books, Berkley bait, lures and other nifty items from the outdoors gunnysack.
The next trivia question will be posted on Monday, July 25.
Here are our rules for The Seattle Times contest.
