Plenty of steelhead and fall chinook in Lower Columbia River

Here is the latest word on the Lower Columbia River fal chinook and summer steelhead fishing:

During Aug. 1-7, salmon anglers on the Lower Columbia made 14,265 trips and caught 151 adult fall chinook kept, 5,344 summer steelhead (2,969 adipose fin-clipped fish kept and 2,375 unclipped fish released), and three coho released. Over 40-percent of the steelhead catch occurred in the gorge (Section 1).
