The Lake Union Boats Afloat Show pulls up dockside 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday to Sunday Sept. 16-18 at South Lake Union on Chandler’s Cove in Seattle
There will be more than 180 new and used boats 18 to 101 feet at West Coast’s largest floating show. This includes watercraft from sport boats to cabin cruisers, sailboats to mega-yachts and everything in between.
Come see the largest and most expensive boat in the show is a 101 foot mega yacht priced at $7.2-million, and the 85 foot Ocean Alexander priced at $5.7-million.
There will be free daily 45-minute sailboat rides on Lake Union on 30-40 foot boats through Discover Sailing; and free 90-minute sailing lessons for kids 8-16 on 13′ Hobie Cat Waves courtesy of Sail Sandpoint.
Lessons will be available Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. For further information or to sign up go to: www.boatsafloatshow.com.
There will be a kids Lifejacket Giveaway as Boats Afloat will be distributing free kids lifejackets every day at the show. Available in sizes 30-50 pounds and 50-90 pounds.
Kids must be present to receive the lifejacket while supplies last. Offered Friday 3 p.m.-6 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
