Big brown bullhead would smash current state record by more than 16 pounds

An angler brought into the state Fish and Wildlife Vancouver office a possible record brown bullhead caught last night from Lacamas Lake in Clark County.

The unofficial weight of the brown bullhead is 28.1 pounds.

The current state record is 11.04 pounds caught in an unnamed lake in Snohomish County in 2000. The photo also shows a typical size brown bullhead.

Joe Hymer, a state Fish and Wildlife biologist says they are still waiting for positive specie ID on the big fish.
