Congratulations to Reg Doern of Federal Way who is this week’s Reel Time Trivia winner, and answered first by saying it was the “Kalama River.”
“I’ve loved fishing since I was a kid growing up in Yakima,” Doern said. “Trout fishing the Ahtanum and Bachelor Creeks, the Yakima and Naches Rivers were my passion.”
Doern has lived in South King County his entire adult life, and fish primarily for steelhead and salmon in the Green River, and traveling some with a fishing buddy to the Cowlitz, and Snake rivers.
“I was first introduced to steelheading on the Kalama by a school friend many years ago and it has always been one of my favorites,” Doern said.
Doern wins a nice outdoor book.
This will be an ongoing weekly trivia contest where the winner who answers the question first will receive an outdoor prize that will range from books, Berkley bait, lures and other nifty items from the outdoors gunnysack.
The next trivia question will posted on Monday, Nov. 21. Winners are announced the following Friday.
