Lake Sammamish kokanee spawning in good numbers on one creek

Here is a story I saw on KING 5 TV a few days ago that talked about a good number of kokanee salmon migrating up Laughing Jacobs Creek in Lake Sammamish.

Kokanee are sockeye salmon that use the huge lake as their home feeding and growing haven until spawning time.

The kokanee in Lake Sammamish have diminished dramatically mostly due to urban growth, housing development and pollution.

Kokanee must be released by anglers fishing in the lake.
