There are only 25 entry spots left for the Roche Harbor Salmon Classic Invitational held on Feb. 2-4 on San Juan Island. The derby is limited to 100 boats with a maximum of anglers per boat.
Cost is $754.60, and includes all dinners for registered anglers and moorage.

The record blackmouth for the Roche Harbor Salmon Classic is a 28.10-pounder, caught last year by Derek Floyd of Stanwood. Floyd landed the hatchery chinook in Obstruction Pass on the first day of the derby, and also had fish weighing 13, 14, 15 and 17 pounds.
In the Roche Derby there was 100 boats with 337 anglers who had 68 fish weighed-in.
Best boat total weight of 108.04 pounds and $2,000 went to Derek and Julie Floyd of Stanwood, and Scott and Shannon Bumstead of Everett.
