It’s Reel Time trivia so put on your fishing thinking cap

Here is the Reel Time Pacific Northwest fishing and outdoor trivia question of the week:

This river is a fly-fishing haven and probably one of the best in Washington for casting a fly with the chance of hooking a big wild rainbow or cutthroat trout.

It is located just west of I-90 on the other side of the Cascade mountain range, and is catch and release only with selective gear rules and no bait is allowed. Hatches include baetis, drake, caddis, stonefly and terrestrials.

The best fishing usually occurs at the buggiest times so mornings and evenings produce the best trout bite as they rise to the surface to feed. The best drift is along the farmland properties that line the upper section, the lower part is a canyon with great wading access spots, but beware it is filled with boulders.

Where am I fishing?

The person to answer this question first will win a nice outdoor related book.

Please email your answer to myuasa@seattletimes.com. The winner will be announced on Friday, Feb. 24. Be sure to include an email plus phone number so we can ensure you’ll get your prize.

This will be an ongoing weekly trivia contest where the winner will receive a prize that will range from books, fishing gear and other cool items from the outdoors gunnysack.

Here are our rules for The Seattle Times contest.
