Coastal razor clam digs approved for this weekend

The coastal razor clam dig this weekend will be open at Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Copalis and Mocrocks beaches.

Digging will be allowed during morning tides only and all beaches will be closed after noon each day.

Low tide on Saturday is minus-0.3 feet at 7:39 a.m.; and Sunday is -0.4 at 9:28 a.m.

Best digging should occur about two hours before low tide for best results.

More digs are tentatively scheduled for March 24 at Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Copalis and Mocrocks; March 25 at Long Beach, Twin Harbors and Mocrocks; April 7-8 at Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Mocrocks and Kalaloch; and April 9 at Long Beach, Twin Harbors and Kalaloch.

Additional digs in late April and early May at some beaches may occur if enough clams are still available for harvest.
