Lower Columbia spring chinook fishery catch and trip totals

Last week on the Lower Columbia mainstem below Bonneville Dam, salmon anglers made about 7,000 trips and caught 186 adult spring chinook (146 kept and 40 released).

Through March 18, there have been nearly 30,000 angler trips made with 582 chinook kept of which 389 were upriver stock based on Visual Stock Identification (VSI). In addition, 180 chinook have been released and 302 steelhead have been kept and 217 released.

Prior to the run update allocation of upriver fish, including release mortalities, will be 12,700 fish for the recreational fishery below Bonneville Dam.
