Columbia River tributary checks show a few steelhead and spring chinook landed

Salmon/Steelhead

Cowlitz River – Spring chinook are being caught throughout the river while steelhead are being caught near the trout hatchery.

Cowlitz check: 118 bank anglers last week caught four spring chinook and two steelhead; 52 boat anglers caught seven spring chinook and 15 steelhead.

Kalama River – Anglers are catching some spring chinook and steelhead.

Kalama check: 10 bank anglers last week caught one spring chinook and released one spring chinook; one boat angler caught one spring chinook.

Lewis River – Boat anglers in the North Fork are catching some spring chinook.

Lewis North Fork check: 17 bank anglers last week caught one spring chinook; six boat anglers caught one spring chinook.

Lewis mainstem check: Three boat anglers caught no fish.

Wind River – No spring chinook sampled this week.

Wind check: 13 boat anglers caught no fish.

Drano Lake – Light effort with a few spring chinook being caught by boats.

Drano Lake check: Three bank anglers last week caught no fish; 15 boat anglers caught four spring chinook.

Klickitat River – A few bank anglers are prospecting but with little results.

Klickitat check: Six bank anglers last week caught one steelhead.
