Rivers and lakes

Lower Columbia River below Bonneville Dam — Last week: Two bank anglers caught no sturgeon; nine boats with 17 anglers caught two sturgeon, and released 23 sturgeon and one wild spring chinook.

Columbia River in The Dalles Pool — Last week: Three bank anglers released three sturgeon; one boat with one angler released two sturgeon; 126 bank anglers caught six steelhead and released two; five boats with 12 anglers caught no steelhead; one boat with three anglers caught four walleye.

Columbia River in John Day Pool — Last week: 14 bank anglers released one sturgeon; one boat with two anglers caught two sturgeon and released two; 69 bank anglers caught 10 steelhead and released eight; 11 boats with 26 anglers caught no steelhead; one boat with two anglers caught two walleye; one bank angler caught one bass; one boat with two anglers caught two bass.

Cowlitz River — Last week: 99 bank anglers caught 11 spring chinook and two steelhead; 14 boat anglers caught one spring chinook and one steelhead.

Kalama River — Last week: 50 bank anglers caught four spring chinook and two steelhead, and released two spring chinook; 42 boat anglers caught three spring chinook and four steelhead, and released one spring chinook and four steelhead.

Lewis River mainstem — Last week: 61 bank anglers caught three spring chinook; 12 boat anglers caught one spring chinook and one steelhead, and released one spring chinook.

Lewis River North Fork — Last week: 16 bank anglers caught no fish; two boat anglers caught no fish.

Washougal River — Last week: 38 bank anglers caught one steelhead and released one; eight boat anglers caught one steelhead and released one.

Wind River mouth — Last week: 13 bank anglers caught one spring chinook; 641 boat anglers caught 76 spring chinook, and released one steelhead and four sturgeon.

Wind River Gorge — Last week: One boat angler caught no fish.

Drano Lake — Last week: 15 bank anglers caught one spring chinook; 325 boat anglers caught 39 spring chinook.

Klickitat River — Last week: 15 bank anglers caught one spring chinook.

Columbia River in Bonneville Pool — Last week: 30 bank anglers caught three spring chinook.

Silver Lake in Lewis County — 1,200 catchable-sized trout were planted on May 1.

Fort Borst Park Pond near Centralia — 3,000 catchable-sized trout were planted on April 30.

Lake Sacajawea in Longview — 6,120 catchable-sized trout were planted on May 1.

Battleground Lake — 2,981 catchable-sized trout were planted on May 2.
