Rod Meseberg Spring Walleye Classic produced good numbers of fish

Here is the weekly report from MarDon Resort at the Potholes Reservoir in Eastern Washington:

The 2012 Rod Meseberg Spring Walleye Classic was a great success.

This year we had 66 teams participate in this fishing tournament. We only had one team report no fish caught on the first day of competition, which is really low.

So overall we had wonderful weather and fishing all weekend.

Our 2012 winners are Mark and Shirley Olson with 33.22 pounds. They travel from Olympia every year to fish our tournament.

On Saturday morning (May 12) we are releasing our trout we have been feeding all winter. So come out and enjoy a day of FREE dock fishing at MarDon Resort.

Remember children fishing off the dock 12 and under need a life jacket. If you have any questions please call 800-416-2736.

Cabelas is having the fish for millions contest again on Potholes Reservoir, and some other lakes as well. For more information and detail on the contest please visit the Cabela’s website.

Upcoming events:

May 19-20: The MarDon Open Bass Tournament (A CWFAC Event)

June 16-17: Washington Bow Fishing Championship

July 4: Golf Cart Parade Fireworks Show at Dusk

July 21: Sammie Bash Golf Tournament
