Northern coast reopens June 14 only for sport halibut fishing

The northern coastal halibut fishery off La Push and Neah Bay will reopen for one day on Thursday, June 14 after state Fish and Wildlife determined enough still remained in the catch quota. The daily catch limit is one halibut with no minimum size restriction.

Down south the nearshore halibut fishery off Westport that mainly targets incidental catches of the big flatties while anglers pursue other bottomfish will close after this Friday (June 8).
