Two-pole endorsement temporarily suspened for four days in Wind River and Drano Lake

The two-pole endorsement will be temporarily suspended June 15-16 and June 22-23 at the Wind River and Drano Lake.

On those days anglers will still be able to fish, but with one-pole only while the sturgeon catch and keep fishery occurs in Bonneville Pool of the Columbia River mainstem.

Daily limit is one sturgeon with a minimum size of 38-inch fork length and 54-inch fork length. The statewide annual limit is five fish. Only one single-point barbless hook is allowed when fishing for sturgeon.

The upcoming sturgeon fishery includes all tributaries. There are 1,060 sturgeon still available in the sturgeon guideline for Bonneville Pool and its tributaries.

Switching back to the one pole rule in the Wind River and Drano Lake will keep the catch within the guideline.
