Beginning fly casting class offered on June 24

Here is the perfect last minute Father’s Day Gift for the dad who loves fly-fishing.

Wholesale Sports Outdoor Outfitters is offering a Beginning The Fundamentals of Fly Casting class 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on June 24.

Each four-hour class session combines instruction, demonstration and practice on local waters. It includes an introduction to equipment, the theory of casting, leaders and knots.

There is also an instruction on rod assembly and care, stance, hook removal, as well as various casting techniques.

Instructors include Darrel Martin, certified by the Federation of Fly-Fishers (USA) and the Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructors (UK) and Michael Martin.

Gear needed is raingear, brimmed hat, protective eyewear, rod, reel, backing, line, and 3X tippet. Cost is $50 (includes a $30 deposit to reserve your spot).
