Chef Tom Douglas who contributes to my “Seafood Recipe of the Week” is giving back to the downtown Seattle community.
With views of Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains to the west, Douglas and his chefs will prepare you a wonderful picnic-style salmon dinner titled “Salmon-Chanted Evenings.”
All the proceeds from a $15 ticket go toward the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department, and will occur 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. June 30, July 28, Aug. 25 and Sept. 15 at the Victor Steinbrueck Park, located just north of Pike Place Market.
This is the third year, and the dinner series helps support a summer park concierge and maintenance at the park, which is heavily used by tourists and locals mainly in the summer.
The dinner series is part of a commitment for nearby residents and businesses from chef and restaurateur Tom Douglas and his company’s CEO, Pamela Hinckley.
