Columbia River and tributary fish checks

State Fish and Wildlife Southwest Washington Rivers and lakes fish checks

Lower Columbia River – July 2-8: 752 bank anglers caught 53 steelhead, and released 14 chinook, 50 steelhead and 31 sockeye; 60 boats with 126 anglers caught 19 steelhead, and released 16 chinook, 14 steelhead and five steelhead; 22 bank anglers caught two sturgeon and released three; 29 boats with 71 anglers caught nine sturgeon and released 82; one boat with three anglers caught no walleye; 33 bank anglers caught 41 shad and released two; two boats with four anglers caught no shad.

Columbia River in The Dalles Pool – Last week: 12 bank anglers released 21 sturgeon; two boats with four anglers released 15 sturgeon; 13 bank anglers and two boats with two anglers caught no steelhead or salmon; eight boats with 16 anglers caught 22 walleye; one boat with two anglers released 26 bass.

Cowlitz River – Last week: 89 bank anglers caught 14 steelhead, eight adult and one jack chinook, and released one adult chinook; 107 boat anglers caught 48 steelhead.

South Fork Toutle River – Last week: 32 anglers caught four steelhead.

White Salmon River – Last week: One angler caught no fish.
