The trivia question of the week was:
The first clue might be a dead giveaway to this trivia question, but this fishing locale we’re thinking of in Marine Catch Area 9 produced the best hatchery king bite this morning on the opener (Monday, July 16).
This expansive underwater plateau is trolled by salmon anglers, but the preferred methods are mooching a herring or candlefish or simply tossing a jig over the side of the boat. There is an island located to the south and just west is one of the larger towns in the Olympic Peninsula area.
Summer is a popular time to fish for salmon, but winter is another great time to catch feeder chinook digging their noses in the sandy bottom looking for schools of candlefish.

This will be an ongoing weekly trivia contest where the winner who answers the question first will receive an outdoor prize that will range from books, Berkley bait, lures and other nifty items from the outdoors gunnysack.
The next trivia question will posted on Monday, July 23. Winners are announced the following Friday. Winners must respond to notification via email by Thursday to be eligible for the prize.
