Lake Wenatchee sockeye daily limit raised

A strong sockeye return in Lake Wenatchee will boost the daily catch limit to five sockeye.

The fishing season is open through Sept. 3 from one hour before official sunrise until one hour after sunset each day.

More than 46,000 fish have migrated above Tumwater Dam with an inseason run that could be above 62,000.

At least 23,000 fish are available for sport catch and less than 7,000 sockeye have been caught.
